Restoring the Upper Lambourn Winterbourne

Mon 6th Jul 2026 from 16:00 to 20:00
Walwyn Hall, Baydon Road, Lambourn RG17 8N

Along the valley above Upper Lambourn, a seasonal chalk stream is being brought back to life this summer.

Work begins in August – and we want local people to understand what's coming, why it's happening and what to expect before construction starts.

The scheme site has no public footpaths, so most residents won't be able to visit once it's complete. The drop-in is the main opportunity to see the designs, understand what's planned and ask questions before work begins.

Restoring the Pang Valley Winterbourne

Wed 8th Jul 2026 from 16:00 to 20:00
Wilkins Centre, Burrell Rd, Compton, Newbury RG20 6NP

Between East Ilsley and Compton, a seasonal chalk stream is being brought back to life this summer.

Work begins in August – and we want local people to understand what's coming, why it's happening and what to expect before construction starts.

Project Groundwater is holding a community drop-in so local people can view the detailed designs, speak to the project team and ask questions before work begins.

Help shape the future of Skottowe's Pond

Thu 9th Jul 2026 from 16:00 to 20:00
Performance Area, Skottowe's Pond, Lowndes Park, Chesham HP5 1HX

Skottowe's Pond is one of Lowndes Park's most familiar features. But it has a problem – and we're looking for local input before we decide how to fix it.

Project Groundwater, River Chess Smarter Water Catchment and Chesham Town Council are exploring sustainable drainage and nature-based options to help manage polluted road runoff, improve water quality, support the River Chess and enhance the pond area.

We're inviting local people to an informal outdoor drop-in to view the early options and share their views before detailed design begins.
